Marline Henin

Marline Henin is a pharmacist and healthcare visionary who has dedicated her career to improving access to quality care in underserved communities. Originally from Egypt, she graduated at the top of her class. She was soon invited to teach pharmacology at her university, a testament to her academic excellence and passion for healthcare education.

After relocating to copyright in 2012, Marline swiftly completed the Canadian pharmacy equivalency process by 2014 and began working in a rural pharmacy setting. She witnessed firsthand the challenges patients face due to limited medical resources. Determined to make a difference, she pursued additional certifications to serve her community better. Over the years, she has become a Certified Diabetes Educator, earned credentials in non-sterile compounding, and specialized in managing IBS and opioid use disorder treatments, each step taken to meet more of her patients’ diverse needs.

Her drive culminated in the founding of Gravenhurst Medical, a community-centered clinic with 11 treatment and consultation rooms. What started with one physician has expanded into a multidisciplinary hub that includes a walk-in doctor, nurse, chiropractor, diabetes educator, and Marline herself as the on-site pharmacist. The clinic also partners with the Georgian Bay Clinic in Midland to deliver virtual addiction support services through four rotating physicians.

Despite her extensive commitments, Marline remains deeply grounded in her role as a mother. She carefully balances her professional and personal life by limiting her workday to nine hours and reserving Sundays for church and family time. Known for her patient-first philosophy, Marline leads with empathy rather than numbers. At Gravenhurst Medical, care is delivered with skill and heart, an ethos she instills in her entire team as they continue to grow and serve the broader community.
